What is Matte Painting ? (मैट पेंटिंग क्या है?)

Matte painting ये VFX industry मे काफी सालो से चली आ रही तकनीक है, जिसकी demand आज भी कम नहीं हुई है, अगर आसान शब्दों में कहे तो matte painting का एक ही काम है- एक या एक से ज्यादा paintings लेके background को replace करना.

career in matte painting – इसके लिए भी artist को बहुत skills और practise की जरुरत पड़ती है. क्युकी background replace करने के बाद वो real background जेसे ही लगना चाहिए

Matte Painting History

Matte painting के इतिहास की बात करे तो ये digital VFX के आने से पहले से ही मौजूद है, तब के समय में artist transperent glass पर paintings बनता था और उसे camera से इस तरह शूट किया जाता था की transperent glass पर बनाई painting आगे रहे और पीछे original background इस्से painting और background का combination दर्शको को देखने को मिलता था, और ऐसे लगता था दोनों एक ही background है अलग अलग नहीं.

आज तो हमारे पास computer softwares है, जिस्से ये matte painting का काम आसन हो गया है. आज तो हम actors को green या blue screen के आगे रखके उनकी acting को camera में shoot करके ,बड़ी आसानी से green screen को हटाकर कोई भी background रख सकते है.

आज matte painting का असली challenge तो तब होता है जब background को हिलते हुवे दिखाना हो, जेसे कोई car एक जगह से दूसरी जगह जा रही हो और हमे पीछे का background हमे replace करना हो.

Matte Painting in Photoshop Step by Step

आब कुछ लोग ये सोच रहे होगे की अगर drawing ठीक से ना आती हो तो क्या matte painting कर सकते है, तो इसका जवाब है हां कर सकते है. आप लोग photoshop में कोई भी simple image लेकर और net से कोई भी PNG images लेकर आप उन सब images को combine करके एक अच्छी matte painting बना सकते है.

आप इन websites पर login करके घर बैठे matte painting का काम शुरू कर सकते है. कोई भी artist ऐसी websites पे $20 प्रति घंटा इस हिसाब से कम सकता है, अब ये amount ज्यदा भी हो सकता है और कम भी, वो आपकी skills, experience और client पर depend करता है.

Big Studios - Hiring Matte Painting Artist

इसके अलावा आप किसी बड़े studio में भी as matte painting artist लग सकते है. studios जैसे- Frame box animations, Red chillies, MPC(Moving Pictures Company), Skyworks studio, Technicolor, Anibrain, Reliance animation और इनके अलावा भी बहुत सारे studios है लेकिन ये सब top पर है.

अगर आपके पास 3 साल का matte painting का experience है और आप की skills भी अच्छी है तो ऐसे बड़े studio में आपको 10 लाख तक का package भी मिल सकता है यानी 90 हज़ार प्रति महिना.

अगर आप सोच रहे हो एसे बड़े studio मई आपको job कैसे मिलेगा- तो सबसे पहले आप आपनी matte painting skills को develop करो या तो YouTube पे videos देख के या कही class लगा के, उसके बाद आप खुद ही अपनी creativity से कुछ अच्छी matte paintings बनाए, और अपने सारे अछे matte paintings की एक showreel बना ले और ऐसे बड़े studios को mail कर दे(इन studios की mail id आपको internet पे आसानी से मिल जायेंगे)

अब जब भी एसे बड़े studios को लोग hire करने होगे वो आपकी showreel देख कर आपको contact करेंगे और interview के लिए बुलाएंगे. इस तरह आप matte painting में अपना career बना सकते है.
